The painting displays an almost surreal derealism. A colorful tourist balloon passed through the skies of Pomerode, in Santa Catarina. This rare event inspired the artist to paint an entire winter landscape around the balloon. Above the clouds, we perceive only the peak of a snowy hill. The texture reminds us of the relief of the brushstrokes in tones that evoke cool colors.

Na tela percebe-se um desrealismo quase surrealista. Um colorido balão de turismo passou pelos céus de Pomerode, em Santa Catarina. Tal fato raro inspirou o artista a pintar toda uma paisagem invernal em torno do balão. Acima das nuvens, percebemos apenas um pico de um morro nevado. A textura nos lembra o relevo das pinceladas em tons que remetem cores frias.
